For those of you who don’t know I have enjoyed reading one of our local sports columnists, Shooter, for as long as I have lived in Minnesota.  If you don’t read him you, should.  He’s a bastion of information and rumors.  Part of the enjoyment comes from some of the absolutely meaningless things that he writes.  For whatever reason he seems to be well connected to Minnesota sports.  I’m not sure who his “little birdie” is, but he sure knows a lot!

The following tidbit from his latest column really got me going and I had to comment on it, “The Twins have no plans to pursue free agents Alex Rodriguez, who is seeking $30 million a season, or Barry Bonds.”  … Hmm no kidding? To me it’s funny, because if you have followed the Twins organization at all, there is no chance this would even be discussed or thought about. Ah well, it’s probably just Charlie have fun and getting a rise out of people.

Since I can’t stand Sid’s column (maybe it’s because I always catch him on a bad day ), I’ll stick with Charley.
