Carl Gerbschmidt

For those of you who don’t know Carl Gerbschmidt, who is a rube bit for KFAN’s Bumper to Bumper radio show in Minneapolis.   While Carl is one of the most obnoxious Packer fans you will ever hear.  I’m sure there are some out there like him, but it’s amazing the bits he has on radio.

I’ve been trying to figure out who does the bit.  There have been many discussions amongst my friends about who exactly it is.  We all like to think it’s Kevin Seifert a writer for the Minneapolis Star Tribune.  Well Kevin and Carl were supposed to be on the football picks segment of the show this past Friday.  Guess what, Kevin couldn’t make it.  It really makes a guy wonder.

Being that I work across the street from the Clear Channel studios, I should really do some more investigative work.

I’ve wondered who does the Gerbschmidt bit, too. I’ve noticed that the Saul Lefkowitz character on the Chad Hartman show has many of the same inflections and suspect that both are voiced by the same person.

You totally have to figure that out. I have been racking my brain on this, to the point of googling the names. I don’t hear the Seifert though. Today, Saul called in his picks from car and his daughter got on the phone. she sounded about 12-14. Does seifert have a daughter that age? Hope that helped.

Yeah the voice is why I thought it was Seifert.. When Seifert’s voice gets high, it sounds just like Gerby.. but after listening to Saul, it does seem like the same bit person does the two. It was funnier when you thought it might be Seifert poking fun at the P-fans he meets on the beat.
